Severe dysphagia and aspiration in a young adult due to congenital cervical hyperlordosis. Dysphagia due to mechanical obstruction may be observed in patients suffering from cervical spine disorders such as scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis, and vertebral degeneration, particularly in the elderly. This report describes a 20-year-old male with advanced dysphagia and aspiration due to severe congenital cervical hyperlordosis. There is no report in the literature of lordosis to a degree severe enough to cause dysphagia and aspiration in a young adult. The management of this extremely rare and advanced condition is discussed.
