Objective: Since it was first described by Morgan in 1842, around 150 cases of chondromas of the head and neck region have been reported in the English literature. Here, we describe the clinical and histopathological characteristics of a 60-year old male patient with a progressive mass at the nasal dorsum, and review the relevant literature.
Methods: The case was investigated using physical examination, imaging, excision of the lesion from the upper lateral cartilages using an open rhinoplasty approach, and histopathologic evaluation.
Results: Histopathologic evaluation confirmed a fully excised chondroma.
Conclusions: We present the first reported case of a chondroma of the upper lateral cartilage of the nose.
