The eponyms of the anatomical triangles of the neck. In the 19th century, some anatomists and surgeons described and gave their names to a series of topographic triangles of the neck. The existence of these triangles was a response to the need to locate the vessels quickly during surgery. These eponymous masters were both scientists and men. This paper tries to place them in the context of the time and to bring them to life with a number of anecdotes.
